Always Somethin' Farm is going to have a new website! This fall we will upgrade to a newer and hopefully nicer website. I will be working on it this fall, and it will hopefully be fully updated by Christmas.
Breeding Season has finally begun! We finally separated all the animals into their separate breeding pens. The two merino ewes, and the merino ram are on the side lawn next to the house, the Coopworths are in a small paddock next to the lean-to, the Shetlands are in the lean-to, and the young lambs that we are not breeding are in the ram pen. All of my breeding Nubians are in the barn with the buck, I sent my Boer doe away to be bred, and then all of my young kids are in the buck pen. It is complete chaos around here!!!!!!!!
Yesterday we traveled down to Penn State and picked up a natural colored pure Merino ram. His name is Oleos and is beautifull!!! We just couldn't bear to breed our Merino ewes to a Shetland or Coopworth ram, we prefer to try and keep the breeds pure! He is very sweet and has a great fleece; I cannot wait to see what his lambs look like!
