We currently have 18 sheep and 2 llamas that we are shearing. The llamas get shorn every 1-1/2 years and the sheep get shorn about twice a year. We sell the fleeces as skirted and ready to wash and spin. They are usually priced between $4-$13 a lb, depending on the color, size and quality.

I would be willing to teach lessons on several of the different things that can be done with wool, such as skirting a fleece, washing or carding a fleece or spinning on a drop spindle or a wheel. I can do private or group lessons for all but the spinning on a wheel (that would need to be done individually, because I only have one working wheel). If you are interested in this, email me at asfarm@mail.com to work out a time. Wool of course will be included, as well as any other supplies needed! I am not quite sure about the price yet

We also sell handspun wool yarn, which I spin on my Kromski spinning wheel. All of the yarns are shorn, washed, dyed, carded and spun by hand, we do not ever use chemicals or machines. The skeins range from 1 -5 ounces each, and no two are the same, although if you are interested in making a larger project from our yarn, I can spin a batch of the same. We sell it for $5-$20 a skein depending on the weight and wool used.
